Operations Manager – Incoming Tour Operator to the Nordic Countries

About nordmc

We are a DMC & Incoming Tour Operator, founded in 2020, in the middle of the corona pandemic, and while it has been a tough few years, the company is based around long standing business partners and so a solid foundation for future growth. 

We only work B2B with select partners, we understand the needs of tour operators and wholesalers, and therefore offer quality service and speedy turn-around from time of request, to quotation and to final confirmed programs. 

We see ourselves as a dynamic, innovative and professional company with a short distance from idea to action – constantly looking for better and new ways of improving our tours, optimizing our processes, and ways of operating and dealing with our partners. 

 

Your profile

  • Experience in working within the travel industry in the Nordic countries, in a similar role!!

  • Destination knowledge of the Nordic Countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden & Finland).

  • You work in a structured and systematic way with an eye for details, and a positive attitude when working independently or within a team. 

  • You can keep your cool under pressure and good at prioritizing tasks when required.

  • You are curious in nature, a fast learner and can work independently.

  • You are service minded towards partners, suppliers and colleagues.

  • Super user of Microsoft Office and knowledge of NITRO is an advantage.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, and any additional languages can be an advantage

 

About the job

  • You will be part of the small team in Copenhagen, where the office language is English.

  • Responsible for operating group tours, and some FIT bookings in the Nordic countries.

  • Tasks include updating rates in the system, client and supplier invoices, updating of name lists, general documentation to client / tour managers, updating and contact with Tour Managers and solving obstacles/changes, and in periods covering the emergency phone roster.

  • You will be in regular contact with our overseas clients and local suppliers.

 

We offer

The positions as Operations Manager is a full-time position. However, for the right candidate we can be flexible with the hours of work, and also working from home may also be a possibility.  Salary is based on qualifications and background. Here at nordmc we offer 2 weeks of vacation in the busy summer period and have limited overtime!

Starting date, as soon as possible.

  • Experience in working within the travel industry in the Nordic countries is an advantage.
